Stress is very serious and can cause many health concerns like high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, depression, I have in the past suffered from severe panic attacks…

As caregivers, we need to make sure we are reducing stress in any way we can, and practicing taking time for self care.  I know at times in the past certain behaviors that my daughter had put me into constant fight or flight mode adrenaline rush stress..

I found some breathing techniques that really help me.  Breath in slow for the count of 4, but instead of expanding your lungs, expand your belly, it gets the oxygen to the bottom of your lungs and slows your heart rate and calms you, then breath out for 4 seconds, and repeat.  It is amazing just the power if breathing and how it can help.

I want to extend a huge hug to each and every caregiver reading this article.  Creating this clothing line has changed our lives in such a way that we have significant reduces stress from at least behaviors like disrobing and diaper digging, and our sheets and chair covers reduce the stress of daily laundry!

Get rest, take a deep breath, and take a break!
